About Us
Founders Ales Racing is the most active Mountain Bike Racing Team in the Midwest. With a history in the West Michigan area that spans three decades, our team members have been racing and winning since the 1980s. Team alums include many professional racers and even a national champion. We have been a stepping stone for many young riders who were first introduced to the sport through our team. We are also one of the strongest Amateur teams in the country, with several licensed Semi-Pros and some of the top Expert level talent in the Midwest. For our sponsors, The Founders Ales Racing Team is a strong equity in the sport. Our jerseys, logo and reputation offer those businesses that support us a chance to advertise and co-brand with a winning and respected enterprise.
The Founders Ales Racing Team attends all Michigan Mountain Biking Association Championship Points Series races. Our Racers attend NORBA NCS and AMBC races across the country. Many of our racers are also strong competitors at national level Ultra Endurance events, such as the National 24 Hour Challenge and the Lumberjack 100.
Founders Ales Racing also reserves several spots each year for young and beginner riders. Through the support of the team and our sponsors, our young riders are exposed to racing and responsible trail riding in a wholesome and supportive atmosphere. Founders Ales Racing has participated in many clinics for new riders. The leadership of our team is extremely active in the MMBA and IMBA. Commitment to growing the sport and supporting sustainable trail goes hand in hand with a winning attitude.
Mission Statement
Promote The Sport of Bicycle Racing Through:
- Participation in bicycle races.
- Participation in local club rides and events.
- Participation in trail maintenance.
- Promotion of our sponsors (who are through their support, promoting our sport).
- Showing respect for other riders, racers and non cyclist trail users.
- Introducing the sport of cycling to new riders.
- Providing opportunities to high school and college level racers to participate in the sport.
